Richie McCaw and Beauden Barrett will be back for the second edition of the popular T20 Black Clash exhibition cricket match.

McCaw and Barrett have been confirmed for Team Rugby for the January 17 encounter in Napier.

They will attempt to defend Team Rugby’s Lomu-Crowe trophy after a five wicket win over Team Cricket in the inaugural match in Christchurch in January 2019.

McCaw and Barrett will play alongside Barrett’s brother, Jordie, and current All Blacks halfbacks Aaron Smith and Brad Weber.

Former All Blacks fullback Israel Dagg – forced into rugby retirement last year – will don his cricket boots for a second successive year for the charity match.

Team Rugby will again be coached by Sir Graham Henry and Team Cricket by former Black Caps captain Stephen Fleming.

Fleming’s Team Cricket will include former Black Caps stars Daniel Vettori, Kyle Mills, Grant Elliott, Jacob Oram and Nathan Astle.

Scotty Stevenson, from 1 News’ sports team, will join The Alternative Commentary Collective in the broadcasting booths.
